Dear reader,
We sometimes claim to be self-sufficient, we refuse to ask for help, we think we can do it all alone, but.. we're actually hiding. We are hiding our pain, shame and our beautiful selves behind this hyper independence.
I know it first hand. I used to drag this vulnerability shield everywhere I went. I used to never ask for help and I was always 'okay'. But behind that self-sufficient facade, I was feeling a lot of pain, shame and loneliness. I was hiding behind that hyper independence.
But with time I've learnt that asking for help makes life easier on all the levels. It makes it less lonely, it helps to create deep bonds and it makes the shame disappear.
This is what inspired me to create 'Hyper Independence' earrings. I wish them to remind you that you don't need to do it all alone and that asking for help is such a strength.
